NASA selects CDI Urban Air Mobility Aircraft Analysis/Design STTR Phase II proposal for award.

On December 1 NASA announced that it had selected CDI’s proposal entitled “Next Generation Distributed Electric Propulsion Urban Air Mobility Aircraft Analysis/Design Tools” for award.  The Phase II will see the teaming of CDI and the Georgia Institute of Technology to develop new mid-fidelity aeromechanics analysis software for the design and development Urban Air Mobility Aircraft.  CDI’s Dr. Glen Whitehouse will be the principal investigator of the proposed effort, and more information can be found at NASA’s SBIR/STTR award website https://sbir.nasa.gov/prg_selection/node/65119  and https://sbir.nasa.gov/SBIR/abstracts/sttr19-2.html.
